5TH COMMISSIONER KARACHI MARATHON: PAKISTAN ROAD RUNNERS DOMINATE

 

KARACHI: The 5th Commissioner Karachi Marathon Race witnessed an impressive display of athleticism at Captain Farhan Shaheed Park Sea View, where Pakistan Road Runner (PRR) athletes secured top positions across various categories.

In the old category, Muhammad Paria Essa clinched the first position, followed by Imran Attar securing the second position. Amir Abbas emerged victorious in the 10-KM category, while Shayan Muhammad Rashid dominated the 2-KM category. Noteworthy performances were also seen from Hasnain Muhammad Ali, who secured the second position, and Bilal Raza Abdullah, who secured the third position.

In the family category, Mohammad Daniyal secured the second position, Azan Mohammad Paria claimed the third position, and Huzaifa Mohammad Ali secured the fourth position.

The event was graced by esteemed guests including Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Commissioner Karachi Saleem Rajput, who distributed prizes among the deserving winners. Barrister Murtaza Wahab expressed his commitment to supporting the promotion of marathons, highlighting the significance of sports for a healthy lifestyle.

Jamal Said, the founder of the club, attributed the success of PRR athletes to their relentless dedication and hard work, expressing optimism for further skill development among the athletes. Chief Captain Pakistan, Muhammad Ahmed, emphasized the importance of grassroots training for athletes.

The event also saw the presence of Brand Ambassador Dr. Sana Jameel and Captain Raja Shoaib Kayani, adding to the vibrancy of the occasion.

The 5th Commissioner Karachi Marathon showcased not only the exceptional talent of Pakistan Road Runner athletes but also underscored the importance of sports in fostering a healthy society.
