Zhob can provide passage to people for other provinces & Afghanistan, says Governor Balochistan

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mnadokhail has categorically stated that there’s a key role of national highways in sustainable development and prosperity of the province and country and as such expansion and construction of roads is very crucial for linking different provinces and cities of the country with one another.
In this regard, Zhob division has immense importance geographically as it can provide passage to whole Balochistan link with other provinces of the country and neighbouring Afghanistan.
Zhob is also the shortest and safest travelling passage to the federal capital, Islamabad.
These views were expressed by the Governor while speaking on occasion of the inauguration of Zhob to Wana road in Zhob on Tuesday.
It may be mentioned here that Zhob-Wana road is an alternate route to Zhob-Dahna sar road, which otherwise used to close due to land sliding most of the time causing hardships to the travelers.
The passengers and transporters would have all time shortest and hurdles free route up to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhaw in face of newly constructed Zhob-Wana road.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor also stressed the need to make all the national highways two-way according to the current and future requirements to reduce the traffic mishaps.
Besides, at the moment all the concerned departments have to prepare a comprehensive and coordinated policy to reduce the otherwise increasing road accidents on the national highways, adding he stressed.
