Youth & students exchange program between Thailand & Pakistan to be made effective, says caretaker CM

QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has stated that the youth and students exchange programme between Thailand and Pakistan would be made effective.
The Chief Minister was speaking to the delegation of Thailand who called on him under leadership of its Consul General, Naruts Soontarodom, here at the Chief Minister secretariat on Thursday.
Also present in the meeting were the caretaker Provincial Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Culture, Mir Jamal Raisani and other high ups of the provincial government.
During the course of meeting, matters about the relations between Thailand and Pakistan besides others of mutual interests were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that Balochistan is the custodian province of hospitality and traditions.
He hailed the announcement regarding provision of better educational opportunities for youth of Balochistan in Thailand.
He said that announcement of Thailand government is welcoming for provision of better opportunities for youth of the province to acquire education in Thailand.
He said that it is also welcoming that the Thailand government would provide scholarships to youth of the province in three major universities of Thailand. Moreover, the professional training would also be imparted to the academic staff of universities, adding he hailed.
He also welcomed the desire of Thailand about participation of Thailand in the projects of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Referring the bilateral trade relations pending between Thailand and Pakistan, the Chief Minister said that the federal government would be contacted to settle the pending issues in this regard.
He said that the mutual relations would be promoted between Thailand and Pakistan in education and trade sectors.
About the sports, Mr. Domki referred the steps being taken by the sports department under leadership of caretaker Minister Sports and Youth Affairs, Mir Jamal Khan Raisani for promotion of sports in Balochistan.
