Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A youth conference was jointly organized in Shahdadpur by Sindh Green Foundation (SGF), Civil Society Support Program (CSSP), and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA). The event saw a large participation of local youth and aimed to foster connections among them, showcase their achievements, and promote empowerment, encouraging the younger generation to actively engage in the community’s development.
The conference was attended by youth as well as representatives from government, civil society, educational institutions, and youth organizations. Key attendees included Assistant Commissioner Shahdadpur Qamaruddin Rahuputo, Mukhtiarkar Shahdadpur Rahim Ali Zardari, Social Welfare Department representative Tariq Rahim Lakho, Shahdadpur Bar Council President Mustafa Soomro, and Arshad Ali Baladi from BBSHRRDB (an organization supporting youth skills development). Also present were notable journalist and writer Sain Aajiz Mangi, Indus Education System founder Urs Umrani, Shakila Mughal from CSSP, and Mehdi Hassan Panhwar, President of Shahdadpur Press Club.
The guests emphasized that youth are the backbone of any nation. They noted that with a significant portion of Pakistan’s population comprising young people, it is essential to create opportunities that enable them to contribute to national and local progress.
The conference included youth-focused panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and interactive activities. Successful young leaders and professionals shared their experiences, inspiring the attendees. Organizations and individuals committed to youth empowerment were awarded shields for their contributions, and a book fair was organized to promote reading culture and enhance access to books for the youth.
