Sibi, – : The Youm-e-Ashur procession was held in Sibi on July 17, with participants mourning the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA). The procession followed its traditional routes and concluded at the Central Imambargah without any incidents.
Security arrangements were made, with 500 police personnel deployed along the routes. DIG Police Sibi Range Abdul Hamid Sanjrani and SSP Sibi Meer Anayatullah Banglazi supervised security. Commissioner Sibi Division Syed Zahid Shah issued instructions for foolproof security.
Medical teams were on alert, and hospitals were on emergency alert. Deputy Commissioner Sibi Jehanzeb Sheikh directed special security arrangements in the B-Area. Municipal Committee workers ensured cleanliness, and Sabeel Welfare Trust volunteers provided water and essential items.
The procession concluded peacefully due to the efforts of the district administration and police.
