World Literacy Day Observed in Peshawar

The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) in collaboration with the Elementary Education Foundation (EEF), JICA, Dost Welfare Organization, and other partners organized a seminar to mark World Literacy Day at University Public School, Peshawar on Tuesday.
Provincial Minister for Education, Faisal Khan Tarakai, was the chief guest at the event, which was also attended by Secretary of Education Masood Ahmed, Managing Director of ESEF Ainullah, Director of Operations NCHD Anwar Iqbal, Provincial Coordinator JICA Asif Kasi, volunteers from Dost Welfare Organization, Dr. Muhammad Munir, Principal of University Public School, heads of various institutions, students, and media representatives.
During the seminar, education experts discussed the causes of educational backwardness and proposed recommendations to address the issue. They agreed that following the recent declaration of an educational emergency in the province, collective efforts are necessary to improve the literacy rate and education standards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
