Women Development and Health Departments to Sign MoU to Address Women’s Healthcare Issues in Balochistan
Quetta, July 26, 2024: Dr. Amin Mandokhel, Director General of Health Services Balochistan met with Advisor for Women Development Department, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi. The discussion focused on the current state of healthcare services and the challenges faced by female healthcare professionals in the province. During the meeting, Dr. Amin Mandokhel provided a comprehensive overview of the healthcare services provided by the Balochistan Health Department. He highlighted the pressing issues faced by female doctors, nurses, and medical technicians, which include inadequate facilities, lack of security, and limited career progression opportunities.
Dr. Rubaba Buledi stated that Balochistan faces numerous healthcare challenges, with only 22% of the population having access to basic health services. The Advisor announced that the Women Development Department would soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Health Department. This MoU will facilitate joint efforts to address the healthcare issues faced by women in Balochistan. “This collaboration aims to create a supportive environment for our female healthcare professionals and improve healthcare services for women across the province,”
Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi assured Dr. Mandokhel of her full support and commitment to addressing these challenges. “The health and well-being of our women are paramount. Female doctors, nurses and medical technicians are the backbone of our medical system, and it is crucial that we address their concerns promptly,” said Dr. Buledi. She Also emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance the healthcare system in Balochistan.
