QUETTA: The Windar dam project is due to be completed by end of year 2025.
According to an official hand out issued here the other day, the work on Windar project had been started in 2021. The important project of dam has already been reflected in the federal public sector development programme (PSDP).
The dam having length of 1.5 kilometer and depth of 41 meters is likely to irrigate around 10,000 acres of land besides making available the clean drinking water to the dwellers of adjacent areas.
The command area would also be increased for the growers with completion of federal government-funded dam project, which have four distributaries.
It is believed that the new era of development and prosperity would also begin with completion of the dam project on one hand, while on the other hand, new job opportunities and livelihood would also be created.
The project would cast positive results on the socio-economic condition of the province specially Lasbela district.
