“We demand an immediate removal of this fake video”, says Secretary WPC Dr. Shahida Rehmani, MNA

Islamabad; 26th July, 2024 – “The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) strongly condemns the circulation of a fake video allegedly featuring Information & Culture Minister Punjab Ms. Azma Bokhari, which has been falsely attributed to her”, stated Dr. Shahida Rehmani today. “This video is a clear example of misinformation and manipulation”, she added while lamenting over the distasteful attempt made today to damage her reputation and cause harm to her personal and professional life.

Secretary WPC stated, “As women parliamentarians, we stand in solidarity with Azma Bokhari and denounce this malicious attempt to tarnish her image”. Furthermore, she urged the public to be cautious and not share unverified content. In her message of condemnation, she also requested media outlets to verify information before publishing or broadcasting it.

Dr. Shahida Rehmani as Secretary Women’s Parliamentary Caucus called for penalization of the perpetrators as per the law and stated, “We demand an immediate removal of this fake video and call for those responsible to be held accountable”.
