We all should play our full role in the fight against polio virus, all arrangements should be made to vaccinate children throughout the district during the campaign, against negligent workers. Legal action will be taken.
These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Agha Sher Zaman while presiding over a meeting held in connection with polio campaign in his office.
The meeting was attended by DHO Dr. Altaf Soomro and related medical officers including DMPPHI. It is our duty to be active because this virus can attack anytime, all the concerned officers and polio workers should ensure the vaccination of children across the district to make the campaign successful and those who are negligent in this regard. Action will be taken against while also encouraging those who have shown better performance so that they will do better work in the future.
N Stop Officer Dr. Zaheer Domki, while giving a briefing, said that during the campaign that will continue from January 8 to January 14, 4 lakh 58 thousand children of the district will be given polio vaccines and all the arrangements have been completed in this regard.
Dr. Niaz of WHO and Dr. Rahim Gadani of UNICEF also participated in the meeting.
