WASA Employees Union announces to end strike after successful dialogue with administration in Quetta city

QUETTA: The WASA Employees Union announced to end the week-long strike after successful dialogue with the district administration, here on Friday.
According to details, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Muhammad Waqar Kakar along with Managing Director of WASA, Hamid Latif Rana held negotiations with the representatives of WASA Union.
During the course of negotiations, the Union apprised the district administration about their issues. The biggest issue was payment of the salaries, on which MD WASA assured to release the amount for salaries.
The WASA Employees Union thanked the district administration and MD on the assurance made regarding acceptance of their demands.
With this, they announced to end their strike. They also announced to resume work in all offices of WASA and supply water in the city on regular basis.
