Two-day conference on “importance & impacts of geo-politics” begins: Our national geography also has capacity to determine fate of other nations in region besides us, says Governor

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that the geography considers to be the fate of any nation and this can be stated with conviction that our national geography has the capacity to determine the fate of other nations in the region besides us.
He said that there’s no denying the fact that our blue economy offers bright prospects of future along with having capacity of changing Pakistan into Asian tiger.
The Governor was addressing the conference on importance and impacts of geo-politics organized in collaboration with the King College London at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) here on Wednesday.
Present on the occasion were the pro-Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS, Dr. Abdul Rehman Khan Achakzai, representative of the King College London, Dr. Salman Khan, faculty members of the BUITEMS, researchers, scholars, intellectuals, students and others.
The Governor stressed the need to bring under consideration the importance of neighbouring countries in backdrop of the international relations and impacts of resources on the population.
He said that the famous saying is that “neighbors can’t be changed” emphasizes that the geographic location of any of the country and it’s neighbouring countries is decided. Therefore, attention should be paid on the equal and pleasant relations with all the neighbouring countries, adding he stressed.
The Governor said that the Geo-politics is not mere a word, rather it is a multi-dimensional political term. It is ver y complicated to understand geographic politics in perspective of Pakistan for we need to link certain points for preparing broader picture of the whole region, adding he stressed further.
He said that it is our good luck that we are in the center of geographic politics as our province is the gateway of the Central Asia, he added.
He expressed the belief that the progress of mega Gwadar project can break the economic status-quo in the whole region.
He said that when he himself imagines the future of human being then sees the beautiful connection between the global civilization and natural and social sciences.
He believed that we would overcome the challenges of the political and economic changes with scientific arts and artistic science.
The Governor appreciated the participation of emerging scholars and researchers in the academic research and artistic work.
