Rawalpindi, (independent Report ) August 2, 2024 – A Turkish naval delegation, led by Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozdemir Kocer, Chief of Staff of the Turkish Navy, visited Karachi. The delegation met with Field Commanders of the Pakistan Navy in Karachi and discussed matters of mutual interest, including promotion of professional cooperation.
The Turkish delegation also paid their respects at the Mazar-e-Quaid and laid a wreath to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation.
On the conclusion of the visit, warships from Pakistan and Turkey participated in a joint patrol and naval exercise in the Arabian Sea. This exercise aims to enhance cooperation between the navies of the two countries in joint operations.
The visit of the Turkish naval delegation and warships is expected to strengthen the longstanding relations between the people of the two brotherly countries, particularly between the navies.
