QUETTA: The Appellate Tribunals headed by two judges of Balochistan High Court (BHC) continued hearing of the appeals against acceptance and rejection of the nomination papers of the candidates by the respective Returning Officers, here in Quetta on Tuesday.
The Tribunals comprising Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar and Mr. Justice Muhammad Amir Nawaz Rana heard the appeals.
The Tribunal comprising Mr. Justice Hashim Kakar dismissed the appeal that challenged the acceptance of nomination papers of JUI candidate, Maulvi Muhammad Sarwar.
The Tribunal upheld the judgment of concerned Returning Officer regarding acceptance of the nomination papers of Maulvi Sarwar.
Similarly, the Tribunal headed by Mr. Justice Kakar also dismissed the appeal filed against acceptance of nomination papers of the BNP-M leader, Mir Hamal Kalmati.
Meanwhile, the division bench of High Court comprising Mr. Justice Rozi Khan Baraich and Mr. Justice Ejaz Swati heard the constitutional petitions filed against the judgments of Appellate Tribunals.
The court deferred hearing of the constitutional petition of the BNP leader Sanaullah Baloch against acceptance of the papers of PML-N leader and candidate, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani for today (Wednesday).
The BNP’s leader had challenged the decision of Tribunal about allowing Nausherwani to contest the elections.
Moreover, the court issued notices to the parties on the petition filed by the Balochistan Awami Party’s leader Ms. Robina Irfan against the decision of Appellate Tribunal.
