A meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, has decided to accelerate the transfer of development projects under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) to provincial governments. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Planning and high-ranking officials from various provinces.
The meeting agreed to transfer PSDP projects to provincial governments as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted work on these projects. Minister Ahsan Iqbal clarified that only projects are being transferred, and funding for these projects will continue under PSDP. He directed all provinces to notify the ministries concerned with the transferred ongoing projects within a week.
Federal PSDP projects in Islamabad will also be transferred to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and respective ministries. Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that PSDP projects are not being discontinued, but rather transferred to different organizations.
The minister assured that there will be no disruption in the projects, and work will continue smoothly under the new arrangements.
