Torkham border has been closed for the past 6th day

Peshawar : Pak-Afghan Torkham border crossing route at Landi Kotal has been closed for the past 6 days and all kinds of traffic including business & traders activities are suspended. According to security sources, hundreds of vehicles are stuck on both sides of Pak-Afghan Torkham border.Traders demanded that Vehicles are loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables should be allowed to cross the border. According to security sources, there was an armed clash between Pak-Afghan forces six days ago over the dispute on the establishment of a check post. According to Afghan security sources, two Afghan security persons were killed and four were injured in the firing that took place six days ago. An FC official was also injured.The Pakistan Army failed terrorist attacks on military posts in Chitral from Nuristan province of Afghanistan. According to the responsible sources, the movements of terrorists in many cities of Qandahar and Nuristan provinces of Afghanistan had already been sensed.The intelligence information was also shared with the Afghan government, but the Taliban government did not pay any attention as usual.Before that, it was claimed by the outlawed TTP had launched a grand operation in Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and occupied several villages on the border of Afghan provinces.According to DC Chitral, the terrorists attacked from across the border at five o’clock in the morning on September 6, which was failed by the soldiers of the Pakistan Army.Joint check posts have been established, according to the administration, terrorists will not be allowed to disrupt the peace of the area. Meanwhile, there has been an exchange of fire with Afghan forces on Thorham border, due to which traffic and trade has been stopped at the border.According to security sources, Afghan forces are setting up checkpoints near the border in violation of the agreement.
