Three more cases of Polio virus reported in Balochistan increasing tally to 20

QUETTA: Three more cases of polio virus have been reported from three districts of the Balochistan province on Friday.
With these new polio cases, the total number of cases were increased to 22 in the province during this year.
The Health Department sources said that these cases of polio have been reported from Noshki, Pishin and Chaman districts of the province.
The polio virus was detected in a 60-months old child belonging to Noshki. Similarly, the polio virus were detected in the 18-months old girl child of Pishin and 9-months old boy child belonging to Chaman.
Earlier, six cases of polio were reported from Killa Abdullah while two cases were reported from Pishin and Quetta.
Meanwhile, in view of the surge in polio cases, a special polio immunization campaign has already been planned by the provincial government in the province.
According to the programme, the polio campaign would be launched from October 28.
