Peshawar : The Polio Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization has expressed concern over the spread of polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan.Still a large number of children are deprived of drinking polio drops.In the report, political instability, law and order situation has been described as a big obstacle in the eradication of polio. Boycott of polio vaccine is also a big problem. The failure of the polio program in Afghanistan may endanger Pakistan’s polio program.It has been recommended to make polio vaccination mandatory for Pakistani and Afghani nationals traveling and to issue polio vaccination certificates to those traveling abroad.
