The transport sector will be further strengthened with the help of urban unit. Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan

It is the vision of Chief Minister Punjab that work on public service projects should be accelerated while transport sector will be further strengthened with the help of urban unit. Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan expressed these views during a meeting with the officials of Urban Unit Transport in his camp office. Chief Executive Umar Masood and Senior Transport Specialist Dr. Murtaza were present in the meeting. While giving a detailed briefing on the mega projects of the Urban Unit, the provincial minister was told that mega projects of urban unit included in 2012 work on Metro Bus Traffic and Routes System, Asset Management for Railway Pakistan in 2015, Punjab Transport Infrastructure Management System in Plan, 2016, worked on National Road Transport System in 2019, Rural Roads Program in 2020 and Parking and Commercial Plaza in 2021. The Provincial Transport Minister said on this occasion that the experience of the Urban Unit can be utilized because the Chief Minister Punjab has many hopes from the transport sector. Bilal Akbar Khan added that many challenges have to be tackled as a great team work. Punjab Transport Infrastructure Management System seems to be an excellent system, but going forward, the condition of the bus terminals will have to be improved, while the road system of Punjab will be further improved and for this all the stakeholders have to performed well.
