QUETTA: The Secretary General All Pakistan Labour Federation (APLF), Abdul Sattar has demanded of the federal government to make 100 percent raise in the salaries of all government employees in the upcoming budget.
While speaking to the media persons here on Sunday, the APLF leader also demanded 50 percent raise in pension of the retired employees.
Moreover, he demanded that the minimum wage of the labourers should be fixed as Rs. 40,000 per month in the next budget besides increasing the EOBI person by 100 percent.
The prominent trade union leader regretfully pointed out that the EOBI beneficiaries are drawing Rs. 8,500 per month, which is insufficient for making their both ends meet.
Therefore, sufficient raise should be made in the EOBI pension enabling the beneficiaries to make their both ends meet, which is otherwise not possible in the existing wages, he maintained.
