London ( News desk) The Pakistan Britain Business Council (PBBC) proudly supported an exclusive networking event hosted by HM Government of hashtag#Gibraltar, sponsored by Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) strategic partners Triay Lawyers and Hassans International Law Firm Limited. The prestigious event featured special addresses by Gibraltar’s Minister for Business & Commerce, Gemma Arias-Vasquez MP, Gibraltar’s Minister for hashtag#Culture & hashtag#Tourism, Christian Santos MP, Lord Marland, Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council, and CWEIC Deputy Chair, Lord (Hugo) Swire.
The event provided a comprehensive overview of Gibraltar as a strategic centre for international business, highlighting opportunities in trade and services. Attendees participated in a valuable networking session, followed by keynote presentations and an engaging Q&A segment. Both Minister Gemma Arias-Vasquez and Minister Christian Santos emphasized Gibraltar’s significant advantages as a global business hub, while Lord Swire underscored its pivotal role within the Commonwealth. Presentations on business prospects in Gibraltar were delivered by Jay Gomez, Partner at Triay Lawyers, and Selwyn Figueras, Partner at Hassans International Law Firm.
A key moment was when I had a productive conversation with Minister Christian Santos, where we both discussed the possibility of PBBC leading a delegation of UK and Pakistani businesses to Gibraltar in early 2025. Travel and tourism were identified as key sectors for potential collaboration. I was accompanied by my team, including Adeel Khan, Director of Trade and Investment, Amir Liaqat, Head of Media & Podcast, and Irfan Ali Atif, Associate Producer for Podcast.
This exclusive event successfully highlighted Gibraltar’s potential as a dynamic player in the global business landscape.
