The Ministry of Climate Change and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) have launched the GLOF III project to protect Pakistan’s glacial water resources.
The Coordinator for Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, met with NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik and agreed to work together on this project. The two ministries will collaborate to address heatwaves, natural disasters, and upcoming floods, and develop a joint strategy to protect wildlife from future floods.
