PESHAWAR: Once again, the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become extremely alarming. The attack on the Muslim League leader and the series of target killings have started once again in the provincial capital, Peshawar.The poor performance of police officers including Care taker government has been opened. Due to fear and panic in the city, traders and industrialists are forced to shift their business to other cities. Attacks on Sikhs have started in the city. As a result of target killing, once again Sikh citizen has been shot and killed yesterday also in the city, a Sikh businessman was shot and injured by an unknown target killer.It is a clear proof of the alarming situation of law and order that the caretaker provincial government and the high command of the police seem to be focusing only on posting and transfers by appointing district police officers in their preferred districts for political purposes and other illegal activities. The crime rate is increasing day by day in the province. It has been learned from police sources that the police officers seem to be busy trying to cover up the crimes in order to show up lower crime rate.It can help in reducing the atmosphere of fear and panic among the people.
