The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Zahir Shah Toru said that peace and education are crucial for progress and development. Addressing an event organized by the “Gajjar Welfare Foundation” in district Mardan, on Sunday, Toru highlighted that without peace and education in a region, province, or country, progress remains merely a dream.

Toru pointed out, while referring to the history, that nations which have progressed, prioritized establishing peace first, followed by empowering their youth through education. The minister also disclosed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan’s vision, stating that he has consistently advocated for peace and education as the foundation for progress.

“Peace and education are among the top priorities of the PTI-led government in the province,” said Toru. Despite limited resources, he added that the government is taking tangible steps to promote peace, prosperity, education effectively.

Speaking about the resilience of the Gujjar community, Toru praised their hard work and determination. He emphasized that the Gujjar nation have always played a significant role in maintaining peace and contributing to Pakistan’s development.

The Minister further added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believes in providing equal opportunities for employment, education, and development to all in the province.
