A world-renowned Siraiki personalityy Professor Dr. Mir Jawed Hassan Chandio, Chairman of the Siraiki Department and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (Pakistan), has retired from his position after completing his tenure after serving for 35 years in an excellent manner. Today marks the end of an era as he steps into a new chapter of his life superannuation. He made the Director Farid chair active.He was also member of Academy of letters board of governors ISB.By taking practical exemplary steps for the promotion of Siraiki language and literature, he played an important role in granting seats in Siraiki in 36 colleges of Siraiki Wasaib. BS, MPhil and PhD programs in Siraiki were started under his supervision. He was also the convenor of the Board for curriculum development of matriculation and inter-classes. Baghdad Al-Jadeed Campus Auditorium was named Siraiki Famous Classic poet Khawaja Ghulam Fareed Auditorium by his efforts. He played an important role in the restoration of the basic financial rights of many Siraiki poets. Among them Dr. Shakir Shujaabadi famous Siraiki poet is also included. He wrote many books and research articles and worked very hard in different fields Including Fareediyaat, research, criticism, journalism, linguistics, literature, law,
Sociology, Jurisprudence, Sufism, History, culture, arts, geography, translation, music, archeology and in administrative affairs. He is the author of many books. Like his father Mir Hassan Ul-Haydari Chandio, he always loved the people of his nation and country. He always taught respect,peace and humanity to hundreds of his students in his philosophy. He taught love for languages ​​to promote peace and prosperity.
