Peshawar – The formal process of privatization of electricity distribution companies has been started.

According to a private news Tv Channel report , Privatization Commission has invited applications for appointments of financial advisors from the Government of Pakistan.

In the first phase, applications for the appointment of financial advisors for the privatization of FESCO, IESCO, GIPCO are sought, the applicants will also have to pay a processing fee of 1000 dollars.

Technical and financial proposals for privatization of three DISCOs have been invited by 16 September , 2024.

According to Power Division sources, the process of privatization of all discos will be completed in three phases within three years.
