The British Council will establish a Digital Hi-Tech Excellence Centre at the University of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Gilgit (independent Report. ): The British Council will establish a Digital Hi-Tech Excellence Centre at the University of Karakoram. This agreement was made during a meeting between the British Council delegation and the Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University, Professor Dr. Atta Ullah Shah. According to the University’s Public Relations Department, the meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellor along with senior administrative and teaching officers from the university, as well as members of the British Council.
During the meeting, both institutions emphasized the importance of high-tech initiatives and discussed expanding their collaboration. They stated that through the Digital Hi-Tech Centre, they will work to develop digital labs and classrooms at the University of Karakoram, as well as promote free licensing, AI, and other technologies in the region. The Vice Chancellor of KIU praised the British Council’s initiative to establish the Digital Hi-Tech Centre, stating that the university is taking all possible steps to provide modern education to students. He further assured that the university would soon be equipped with advanced technology.
