QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly has approved the draft law regarding compulsory education of the Holy Qura’an and a resolution for making legislation about National Commission on Non-Muslims in its session here on Friday.
The draft law about compulsory education of the Holy Qura’an and resolution was tabled by the Parliamentary Secretary for Minorities and Religious Affairs, Khalil George.
The session of assembly was resumed with Deputy Speaker Sardar Babar Khan Musakhail in the chair on Friday.
The resolution tabled by Khalil George demanded legislation for forming National Commission on Non-Muslims.
In addition to this, the draft law (amended) of the Balochistan Public Finance Management was also approved in the session.
The draft law was tabled by the Provincial Minister for Finance, Engineer Zamarak Khan Achakzai.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker Sardar Babar Musakhail summoned the secretaries of Finance and Education on the issue of protest and hunger strike of the government teachers outside the assembly building.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Minister Home, Mir Ziaullah Langave said that ours’ most of the issues are related to the federal government.
He said that the construction and repaid of the national highways is to be done by the National Highway Authority (NHA). He regretfully pointed out that the NHA has not spent even a single penny on the repair of highways.
Education Minister Mir Naseebullah Marri pointed out that the flood affected people are still awaiting relief in the province.
He charged that the public miseries have been increased manifold since the present federal government came into power.
The leader of Opposition Malik Sikandar Khan on a point of order asked not to demolish the mosques located on way of the roads extension in Quetta.
On this, the Deputy Speaker seeks report from the Project Director of development project.
