KARACHI: Following the surprise visits and public complaints to the Chief Secretary Sindh about the non availability of a large number of Secretaries and concerned Sindh government department officials, all they were found absen in the secretariate here on Thursday.

Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Haider Shah’s visit to various offices of Sindh Secretariat and various locations but the Secretaries and staff was absent.

Chief Secretary expresses displeasure over the absence of officers. The Chief Secretary directed the issuance of show-cause notices against absent officers.
The Officers were found absent by 9:45 AM, according to the spokesperson of the Chief Secretary Sindh told to the media.
Several secretaries and additional secretaries of Old KDA and Tughlaq House were absent, the spokesperson of the Chief Secretary Sindh reported.
According to him, the Secretaries of Excise, Labor, Mines & Minerals, School Education, Planning, Women Development, and Industries were also absent.
The Chief Secretary strictly instructed the secretaries to adhere to punctuality. A report on absenteeism will be sent to the Sindh Chief Minister.
Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Haider Shah further disclosed that Senior officers are also not coming to the office on time, and this will not be tolerated, such practices was since long and Biometric machines were removed in the office’s, that was purchased with heavy budget long ago sources told.
The Chief Secretary expressed strict action against those not following the punctuality and absent official he said.
