Stern action to be taken against non-functional schools and absentee teachers: QDEG

QUETTA: The Quetta District Education Group (QDEG) has decided to take stern action against the absentee teachers and the closed and non-functional schools in the district.
This was decided in a meeting of the QDEG, which was held with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Muhammad Anwar Kakar in the chair on Wednesday.
The District Education Officer (Male), DEO (Female), representatives of UNICEF and other concerned officials were in attendance at the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the situation regarding the closed and non-functional schools besides absentee and attached teachers in the schools.
A committee was also formed to collect and compile the data of absentee and attached teachers as well as about the schools, which are closed or occupied in the district by October 2, 2023.
The committee would present its report in next meeting of the District Education Group.
In view of the report, certain important decisions would be made, it was decided further in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC General asserted that no negligence would be tolerated on the matter of absentee teachers and non-functional schools. It was decided to make all closed and non-functional schools operational ensuring attendance of all the schools there.
