Spokesman Government of Balochistan maintains

QUETTA: The spokesman, Government of Balochistan, Shahid Rind has categorically stated that peaceful protest is right of everyone, however, no one would be allowed to make the Red Zone and the institutions of state hostage all.
In a video message reacting to the protest held by the families of missing persons in Quetta city on Thursday, the spokesman of provincial government said that the protest of families of missing persons was continued on Sariab road for last 10-12 days.
During this period, no action was taken against the peaceful protest by the state’s institutions.
However, the protestors marched towards Red Zone from Sariab road area, he maintained mentioning that the important buildings of High Court, Supreme Court Quetta Registry, Governor House, Chief Minister House, residences of the judges and senior government officials and civil secretariat Balochistan.
As the police tripped to intercept the protestors to enter the Red zone, according to the police, the protestors pelted stones on them (police personnels), the spokesman added.
Shahid Rind said that the section 144 has already been imposed in Quetta city,but despite this, the protestors tried to enter the Red zone.
He said that the police demonstrated extremely patient and tolerant behaviour with the protestors.
He said that there is clear policy about the Red zone, and no one is allowed to enter it.
The spokesman said that the State has no objection on staging peaceful protest by any person or group, but no one would be allowed to make the Red zone and the state’s institutions hostage.
