Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq’s notice of making mobile footage from the press gallery.

ISLAMABAD- Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has taken strict notice of the issue of mobile footage being made from the press gallery during National Assembly sessions. On the Speaker’s direction, making a video from a mobile phone inside the House is considered to undermine the privilege of the House. Despite repeated warnings from the Speaker, the National Assembly, and the Secretariat, the practice of making videos from the press gallery has continued. In a meeting presided over by the Speaker, it was decided to refer the matter to PEMRA, taking notice of the video being aired on TV channels. A list of the TV channels involved will also be provided to the Speaker’s office. The Speaker has directed that the press gallery cards of the media representatives who made the video be canceled and strict action be taken against them.
