Baku:Nov. 15. The South Asian Climate Change Journalists Forum (SACCJF) has formed a new governing body during its annual general meeting at the COP 29 Media Center in Baku.
Elected officials include:
– Ashish Gupta (India) as President
– Rubnawaz Mishkor Chaudhry (Pakistan) as Vice President
– Kamruzzaman Biplob (Bangladesh) as Secretary General
– Asaduzzaman Shamarth (Bangladesh) as Executive President
– Shree Ram Subedi (Nepal) as Vice President
– Mahendra Pathirana (Sri Lanka) as Vice President
The new leadership marks an exciting chapter for SACCJF, reaffirming its commitment to addressing South Asia’s climate crisis.
SACCJF aims to strengthen regional media cooperation, promote climate change awareness, and support journalists in their critical role of covering environmental issues.
