slamabad Capital Police launches special operations against illegal parking

According to the details, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has initiated a decisive campaign to address the menace of illegal and unauthorized parking within the federal capital, a public relations officer said.

He said that, recognizing the urgency of addressing the challenges posed by unauthorized parking practices, a specialized police task force has been assembled, consisting of 30 highly trained officers equipped with vehicle lifters.

The specialized police squad is committed to the rigorous enforcement of one-way traffic regulations, ensuring compliance among all citizens for the safety and efficiency of the city’s road network.

Unauthorized parking in critical transit zones, such as bus stands and bus stops, has been a long-standing issue causing disruption to commuters. This operation will actively target individuals obstructing these vital areas, with the aim of improving the daily commute for the public.

During the initial phase of this campaign, particular attention will be given to the Sunday Bazar, Blue-Area, Al-Shifa Hospital, Sector F-6, and F-7 centers, with the primary objective of restoring traffic order in commercial hubs, bus transit points, and major thoroughfares.

Violators of parking regulations will face substantial fines, serving as a strong deterrent against future violations. In addition to addressing illegal parking, this initiative will also target other traffic rule violations that jeopardize road safety.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan reaffirmed the commitment of the Islamabad Capital Police to maintaining peace, order, and a well-coordinated traffic system in the city.

He urged all citizens to fulfill their civic duty by adhering to traffic rules, emphasizing the crucial role each person plays in ensuring the safety and efficiency of Islamabad’s roadways.
