Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon Vows to Implement Bus Terminal Shift Despite Opposition

Karachi:Sep. 07 Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that despite the provision of free shuttle service to the new terminal, some bus operators have filed fake cases on baseless grounds. Some operators are trying to resist legal actions or exert pressure on public office holders for personal interests.

In a statement, Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Sharjeel Memon said that the relocation of terminals will be ensured at all costs, despite pressure. He said that the purpose of relocating terminals outside Karachi is to eliminate illegal bus stands from the city’s roads. The Transport Department is committed to upholding the rule of law and complying with court orders.

Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon said that the establishment of bus terminals outside the city limits is in accordance with court orders, and all stakeholders should respect the law and cooperate. The Sindh government is aware of the challenges faced by transporters, and we want to facilitate the citizens.
