SINDH SENIOR MINISTER SHARJEEEL INAM MEMON ORDERS EXPEDITED CONSTRUCTION OF YELLOW LINE BRT

Karachi, August 8, 2024: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has issued strict directives to expedite the construction of the Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

A high-level meeting regarding the Yellow Line BRT was held at the Sindh Senior Minister’s office, chaired by Sharjeel Inam Memon. The meeting was attended by Secretary Transport Asad Zaman, Managing Director Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kamal Dayo, World Bank representative Lincoln Flor, international consultants, and others.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the Yellow Line BRT construction work and discussed various aspects, including the start of work on the depot and the ongoing construction work on the Jam Sadiq Bridge.

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon directed that work on the Yellow Line BRT project should be carried out on a daily basis to ensure timely completion. He instructed all relevant parties to urgently remove any obstacles causing delays.

On the occasion, World Bank representative Lincoln Flor assured support for the Yellow Line BRT project.
