Sindh Rangers and Police Operation Results in Death and Capture of Notorious Dacoits

In an ongoing joint operation against dacoits in Shikarpur’s Gharhi Tegho Kachho area, Sindh Rangers and police have achieved significant success, claiming one dacoit killed and another captured injured. This operation, which has been underway for 25 days, has resulted in 12 dacoits killed and 45 injured so far.¹

According to Shikarpur SSP Shahzeb Chachar, the encounter took place at the Naparkot police station’s limits, where dacoits attacked a police picket, leading to an exchange of fire. Police firing resulted in the death of notorious dacoit Farid Teghani, leader of the Farid Teghani gang, while his accomplice, Mallan Mazari Teghani, was captured injured.

The deceased dacoit was wanted in 33 serious cases, including the murder of police personnel and a photographer, and was a key perpetrator of highway robbery and kidnapping for ransom.
