Karachi (August 2)* — Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized the importance of digital technology in keeping pace with modern development. Speaking at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan event, he stressed that rapid progress in today’s world is only possible through innovation and adapting the financial system to the digital era.

Governor Tessori praised the institute’s efforts to align with contemporary demands and noted the positive impact of encouraging financial institutions. He highlighted that digital technology is crucial for participating in today’s development race, and the current government is committed to leveraging digital advancements.

He added that the Governor House is providing training in modern IT courses for youth and ensuring that online issues and digital technology measures are addressed. Over the past 20 months, significant improvements have been made, including the distribution of ration bags to millions under the Governor’s initiative. Additionally, more than 50,000 youths are receiving advanced IT education at the Governor House, and financial support is being provided to individuals with good business proposals.

Governor Kamran Khan Tessori pointed out that neighboring countries have surpassed Pakistan in technology, emphasizing the need to create new opportunities for future generations. He also mentioned that the SIFC project is designed to integrate the country into the new development race by offering comprehensive support to foreign investors. The Governor Sindh concluded the ceremony by awarding Digital Technology Awards to financial institutions demonstrating high performance.
