Sindh Food Authority Marks World Food Day 2024, Stresses “Right to Safe Food for Better Life and Future

Karachi, October 15, : The Sindh Food Authority observed World Food Day 2024, emphasizing the importance of safe and nutritious food for all. Director General Mazmal Hussain Haliopoto reiterated the authority’s zero-tolerance policy towards food adulteration and expired products.
The event, attended by university students, food business representatives, NGOs, government officials, and agricultural community members, featured an awareness rally. This year’s theme, “The Right to Safe Food for a Better Life and Future,” highlighted the need for universal access to quality and nutritious food.
Haliopoto stressed that food security and combating hunger are vital for improving living standards and sustainable development. The Sindh Food Authority remains committed to ensuring safe and healthy food across the province.
