Sindh Food Authority Cracks Down on Substandard Products

Karachi, Nov 21, The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has intensified its operations across the province, seizing 12,000 liters of substandard cooking oil in Thatta and sealing 11 non-standard Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants in Karachi.

The Thatta operation, led by Food Safety Officer Natashah, raided a distribution unit selling unsafe cooking oil under local brand names. The unit was fined Rs. 500,000.
SFA Director-General Mizammil Hussain Halipoto vowed to protect public health, stating, “We will not tolerate any compromises.”

This crackdown demonstrates SFA’s commitment to ensuring safe and quality food products in Sindh.
