Larkana: August 20, – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held a conversation with journalists at Morio Dam in Larkana. He said, “Insha’Allah, there will be no problem on the Indus River.” He added that the main danger is from the heavy rainfall in the Koh Suleiman and hilly areas.
The Chief Minister stated that the issue arises when the rainwater fills the Jhelum River, MNK Drain, and Manchhar Lake. He noted that the Meteorological Department’s predictions have been exceeded by the actual rainfall. Despite this, he expressed gratitude that no major incidents have occurred.
Syed Murad Ali Shah criticized the media for creating unnecessary hype. He mentioned his experience as an MPA from Johi for 15 years and announced his plan to visit the area. He acknowledged that flooding in nullahs cuts off villages from cities and damages people’s homes.
The Chief Minister mentioned that, following Bilawal Bhutto’s vision, they are building 21 lakh houses. He also discussed relief efforts for flood victims.
