Shikarpur:Aug 03 Despite claims of prior arrangements, the city’s central areas, including the Ghanta Ghar, have been submerged underwater, and the drainage system has collapsed. The electricity supply has also been suspended, with SEPICO failing to restore it.
According to details, intermittent rainfall has been ongoing in Shikarpur since Friday night, resulting in flooding in various areas, including Allahwala Chowk, Jamani Hall Road, Jahaz Chowk, College Road, and others. The prior measures and claims made by the Shikarpur Municipality and its Chairman have proven ineffective, leaving several feet of water accumulated in these areas and causing immense difficulties for residents.
On the other hand, the rainfall has caused power outages in Shikarpur, with SEPICO struggling to restore the supply. The city’s infrastructure has been severely affected, leaving citizens to face numerous challenges.
