Shikarpur Police Foil Human Trafficking Attempt, Arrest Two Suspects

Shikarpur, Oct. 24. : Shikarpur police successfully thwarted a human trafficking attempt and apprehended two suspects who allegedly lured a girl into a honey trap with promises of marriage.

According to details, SHO Thana Abad Meelani, Ghulsher Ahmed Sethar, received information about a potential kidnapping. He swiftly initiated snap checking at Police Choki Pipli, where a taxi driver, Sarang Sheikh, was intercepted along with two youths from Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, and a girl from Bahawalpur.

During investigation, it was revealed that the two youths, Yasin Bhatti and Arshad Bhatti, had deceived the girl, Rani daughter of Muhammad Rafiq Gujjar, with marriage promises and intended to sell her.

The suspects and taxi driver are currently under custody, and further investigation is underway. Additional revelations are expected.

This operation demonstrates Shikarpur police’s commitment to combating human trafficking and ensuring public safety.
