Shikarpur, July 27, 2024 – The Stuartganj police station in Shikarpur has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics, recovering 1.8 kilograms of charas and arresting one suspect.
According to details, the operation was conducted under the supervision of DSP City Shikarpur Manib Ahmed, following orders from SP Shikarpur Shahzeb Chachar to curb narcotics supply and crime.
During a snap checking at Manchar Shah Road, a pedestrian was spotted who dropped a bag containing charas and fled the scene. The police gave chase and arrested the suspect, recovering 1.8 kg of charas and a mobile phone.
A case has been registered against the suspect under the Narcotics Act at Stuartganj police station. The arrested suspect was also wanted in a terrorism case. Further investigation is underway.
