Shikarpur, August 6, 2024: In a successful targeted operation, Shikarpur police rescued an abducted man and busted the notorious Bashu Gang, known for kidnapping and extortion.
According to details, the police received a tip-off about the presence of kidnappers and the abducted man in Rustam Kachh. The police team, led by SSP Shikarpur, launched a targeted operation and rescued the abducted man, identified as Ghulam Shabbir Chachar.
The kidnappers had abducted Chachar on July 27 from the limits of Lakhi Ghulam Shah police station. They were shifting him from one place to another when the police team reached the spot. The kidnappers opened fire, but the police retaliated, forcing them to flee, leaving the abducted man behind.
A heavy police contingent is chasing the fleeing kidnappers to apprehend them. The successful operation is a significant blow to the Bashu Gang, and the police are determined to eradicate kidnapping and extortion from the area.
