Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail to take oath as 24th Governor of Balochistan today

QUETTA: The senior politician and provincial President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail is due to take oath as 24th Governor Balochistan today (Monday) morning.
According to the sources of Governor House, the graceful oath taking ceremony of Governor Balochistan is scheduled to be held at 11:00 AM today (Monday) at the Governor House.
The Chief Justice High Court, Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar will administer oath to Sheikh Jaffar Mandokahil.
The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, provincial ministers, parliamentarians, political personalities, tribal elders, Chief Secretary, administrative secretaries of provincial government departments would participate in the oath taking ceremony.
It may be mentioned here that the PML-N leadership had nominated Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail as new Governor Balochistan.
The PML-N central leader, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had conveyed him his nomination about Governor.
His predecessor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar served as the Governor Balochistan around 14 months. Malik Abdul Wali Kakar had been appointed as 23rd Governor on March 3, 2023.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media persons here the other day, the newly nominated Governor said that he is thankful to the leadership of PML-N on his nomination as the Governor.
He also said that it would be his utmost endeavour to support and strengthen the coalition government in the province.
He also vowed to play effective role for improving relations between the federation and province further.
He said that the major issues being confronted by the province are education and law and order, and as such he would play his part to address them.
To a query, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail said that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has the capability to run the province in better manner, and it would be his endeavour to support and strengthen the coalition government after assuming the office of Governor.
