SWAT:- Secretary Higher Education, Capt (R) Kamran Ahmed Afridi, visited the University of Swat to inaugurate the International Conference on Innovation, Sustainability & Digital Transformation. A Way Forward for Sustainable Business. During his address, Secretary Afridi praised the university’s remarkable transformation and significant contributions to higher education and research in the region. The Secretary highlighted the university’s journey of growth and establishment, crediting the Vice Chancellor, faculty, and staff for their tireless efforts.
He noted that the university has become a beacon of higher education and research in the region, growing from strength to strength.
Secretary Afridi emphasized the university’s proactive approach to introducing new programs and curricula, catering to the latest trends in business technologies and environmental studies. He commended the establishment of specialized research centers, which will expand the university’s research capabilities and foster collaboration with industries and academia.
The Secretary praised the university’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and its role in promoting sustainability. He acknowledged the strong support from the district administration, public representatives, and business leaders, highlighting the university’s importance in the socio-economic development of the Swat Valley.
The Secretary urged the youth to play an active role in nation-building, adopting a positive approach, working diligently, and standing firm against violence and extremism. He quoted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, emphasizing the importance of faith, discipline, and selfless devotion to duty.
