Secretary C&W directs concerned officers to ensure timely completion of development schemes in Makran

QUETTA: The Secretary Communication and Works (C&W) Department, Qambar Dashti has directed all the concerned officers to mobilize all available resources to complete the ongoing development projects in the Makran division.
He also directed them not to make any compromise on quality of work on the projects besides asking them to issue notices to the contractors who stopped work on the projects.
If they didn’t resume work on the projects even then, the process of blacklisting should be initiated against them, directed the Secretary C&W while presiding over the meeting held to review progress of work on the ongoing development schemes in Makran circles, at Kech on Monday.
Those who were present in the meeting were included Chief Engineers Faiz Mohsin and Iqbal Kasi besides other concerned officers.
The Secretary C&W was briefed by the concerned engineers about progress of the schemes being executed in their respective districts.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary said that it is our endeavour to take immediate steps for the schemes which are going to complete this year.
He was critical of the contractors who have stopped work on the schemes and are not working there saying that the action of blacklisting should be initiated against them.
He said that it is our priority to complete the development schemes in time so that the general public may benefit from them.
