Quetta city is face of Balochistan; beautification included in priorities of government, says Chief Minister

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that Quetta city is the face of our province and as such it’s beautification is included in priorities of the government.
The Chief Minister directed to extend the process of disposal of the garbage to whole of the Quetta city and it’s suburbs.
He also assured to provide the required funds for cleanliness of Quetta city.
The Chief Minister was chairing review meeting about the Quetta solid waste management project here on Saturday.
Those who were present in the meeting were included: Parliamentary Secretary for Urban Planning and Development, Asfandyar Kakar, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Local Government, Abdul Rauf Baloch, Chairman Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) Noorul Haq Baloch, Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Chief Executive Officer, PPP Board and other concerned high ups.
The Commissioner Quetta briefed the meeting about the Quetta Solid Waste Management project.
During the briefing, it was informed that process of lifting of the waste is continued from Quetta city and its surrounding areas.
It was also informed that the de silting of the drainage nullahs is also continued and the encroachments established there are also being removed.
Besides the hospital waste is being burnt while the campaign is also continued against the encroachments,
A push cart bazaar is also being set up on the Joint road.
Meanwhile, meeting decided to operate the street lights in Quetta city on the PPP mode,
The meeting was also briefed about the Cafe Baldia, Trade License collection and slaughter houses in the city.
The meeting reviewed the issues of employees of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation and the related matters.
The meeting also decided to take stern action against those involved in the wall chalking just to maintain beauty of the Quetta city.
The Chief Minister directed to submit the details of shops established on the government land in Quetta in next meeting.
