Quetta administration crackdown against profiteers continues; 38 shopkeepers arrested

QUETTA: The Quetta district administration is continuing its crackdown against the profiteers in the metropolis.
According to the official sources, at least 38 shopkeepers were arrested during the crackdown carried out in different parts of the metropolis.
Similarly, 19 shops were sealed while a shop keeper was charged fine on violation of the official price list.
The price control committees comprising Assistant Commissioners and magistrates conducted raids on airport road, Satellite Town, Nawan Kili, Bacha Khan chowk, Kasi road, Sariab road and Kuchlak.
It may be mentioned here that the Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqat and Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Saad bin Asad had issued special directives to the price control teams to take stern action against the profiteers.
The Commissioner said that different teams have been formed to take action against those involved in profiteering.
He warned that the stern action would be taken against those fleecing the general public and sale of edibles would be ensured at the official price list.
